Investigating cognitive control with concurrent fMRI and remote control of neuronal signaling using the DREADD (designer receptor exclusively activated by designer drug) method in monkeys KU Leuven
The research project is using a new and remarkable neuro-modulatory method concurrent with functional magnetic resonance imaging to study the cognitive control system in monkeys. The method allows a remote control of neuronal signaling with high cellular specificity and high spatial resolution and is very promising for both fundamental and clinical neuroscience.
