Valorization of carbon dioxide by ionic liquids (CO2IL). KU Leuven
Overcoming the barriers towards the design and deployment of economically feasible, environmentally desirable and socially acceptable carbon dioxide capture, transport, utilization and storage (CCUS) value chains. University of Antwerp
Marine carbon dioxide drawdown via enhanced carbonate dissolution in coastal sediments. University of Antwerp
Catalytic Conversion of Carbon Dioxide to Value-Added Chemicals Ghent University
The discovery of efficient technologies enabling the use of CO2 as starting material for the synthesis of valueadded
chemicals is one of the biggest challenges of our time. We aim to establish a state-of-the-art catalytic
research network within UGent to tackle this challenge by studying the reductive coupling of CO2 with olefins and
super-dry reforming using molecularly engineered homogeneous/heterogeneous ...
Copper clusters as model catalysts for carbon dioxide hydrogenation to methanol KU Leuven
Development and downstream processing of biological carbon capture and utilization technologies Ghent University
CARBIZON – Building sustainable, fertile carbon soils. University of Antwerp
Investigating carbon transport processes in plangs using the short-lived isotope 11C Ghent University
A collaborative research project and proposal is planned based on the short-lived isotope 11C. We will use the 11C istope to follow in vivo the internal transport of carbon in plants. A series of preliminary experiments are scheduled. Our proposal will be submitted to the US National Science Foundation. Student mentoring and seminars are also planned.
