Representations of intra- and extra-EU mobilities in digital-only media in the Brexit context Ghent University
The coverage of migration in the media is considered partly to blame for the Brexit vote. While all published studies focus on broadsheets and tabloids, our project will involve content and discourse analyses with a view to identifying the approach to migration by three major digital-only media, in

In vivo analysis of the role of a newly identified screenings hit in breast epithelial homeostasis and basal breast cancer progression Ghent University
The hit was identified in an siRNA screen as being crucial in ZEB-1 mediated EMT. Transcription factors essential in normal development play an important role in this process. Moreover, studies have shown that EMT is linked with (cancer)stem cells. This suggests an important function for our hit in normal breast development and the progression of basal breast cancer.
Chemopreventive or breast cancer promoting? A comparative transcriptomic, epigenetic and metabonomic study of isoflavones, tamoxifen and raloxifene in healthy breast tissue. Ghent University
Upon soy consumption, isoflavones reach exposure levels in human breast tissue at which ERβ agonistic, putative protective, effects may occur. Yet, the clinical implications of these findings require further investigation. This project aims to characterize the differential activation of estrogen-responsive genes between dietary isoflavones and chemopreventive therapeutics in women undergoing breast reduction surgery by a controlled dietary ...
Prone crawl radiotherapy in 5 fractions for breast cancer patients after breast conserving surgery Ghent University
