The role of visual information in the behavioral control and behavioral education of young cyclists LEVENSLIJN Ghent University
The role of visual information on safe traffic participation by bike is investigated among adults and children. In a first stage, the visual behavior is coupled to the motor aspect of cycling. In the second stage we investigate to what extent visual behavior influences hazard perception and decision making among cyclist.
The role of visual information in behavioral control and behavioral education in young bicycle users Ghent University
The aim is to gain fundamental insights in the rol of visual search patterns in young bicycle users and to formulate adequate guidelines for traffic education. In the first phase visual behavior will be analysed during specific tasks (cycling slalom, straight lines, and 8-shaped tracks. In a second phase the visual behavior in real-life traffic situations will be analysed.
Psychophysiological, Sexual, and Behavioral Predictors of Sexual Aggression in Young, Heterosexual Men KU Leuven
Affective and behavioral dimensions of sexuality and their relevance to relationship quality and health KU Leuven
Although being in a long-term relationship (e.g., marriage, cohabitation) is associated with lower morbidity and mortality rates, a growing research literature shows that not being in a relationship per se, but rather the quality of that relationship that is most relevant to predicting its effects on health. Although sexuality is part of most long-term relationships, surprisingly little is known about its effects on relationship quality and ...
Affective and behavioral dimensions of sexuality and their relevance to relationship quality and health KU Leuven
Background
Sexuality is an integral part of most intimate relationships and is associated with both positive and negative relational and health outcomes. Whereas such associations are well established, the question of how and for whom sexual aspects of the relationship positively or negatively impact relationship quality remains largely unanswered. Although historically, the topics of sexuality and intimate relationships have ...
Systematic examination of the effects of Nlgn3 deletion and R451C mutation on PV+ GABAergic interneurons: implications for behavioral phenotypes associated with neurodevelopmental disorders in mice KU Leuven
Using a cell-restricted conditional knockout approach, we will determine the role of the postsynaptic neurexin cell adhesion binding partner neuroligin in PV+ GABAergic interneurons for regulating ASD-relevant behavioral phenotypes. Specifically, we will investigate whether an ASD-associated Nlgn3 deletion or R451C mutation causes behavioral deficits relevant to the core ASD symptoms. For this, we will cross Nlgn3 KO mice (Nlgn3 cKO) and ...
Oxytocin-based Pharmacotherapy for Autism Spectrum Disorder: Behavioral and Neural Effects of a Promising Intervention Approach KU Leuven
