Sabbatical: Dirk Springael:Meta-proteomics als hulpmiddel om gemeenschapsbrede activiteit van het mobiele genetische element te onderzoeken - insertie element IS1071 KU Leuven
Horizontal gene transfer (HGT) plays an important role in microbial adaptation. HGT is governed by the
“mobilome”, i.e., the pool of mobile genetic elements (MGEs) including plasmids, transposons, insertion
sequences, integrons etc. Their presence and abundances in microbial communities can be shown by techniques
as quantitative PCR and meta-genomics but that does not necessarily imply their activity that depends both on ...
Stimulus-responsieve poly(2-oxazoline)s met moleculaire afdrukken als volgende generature geneesmiddelenafgiftesysteem Ghent University
The main objective of my proposal is obtaining stimuli-responsive molecularly imprinted poly(2- oxazoline)s and presenting their application in targeted drug delivery. The obtained polymers will be biocompatible poly(2-oxazoline)s, a polymer that is well-known for its biocompatibility. Moreover, the obtain material will release drug molecules only when a particular stimuli is applied. More precisely, I am planning to obtain polymers that ...
Synthese van suikergemodificeerde a-galactosylveramide-analogen als Th1- polariserende NKT-vel antigenen. Ghent University
Synthesis of sugar- modified alpha-galactosylceramide (KRN 7000) analogues that potentially induce a Th1- polarised cytokine response mediated by NKT cells. The proposed modifications intent to establish an improved binding affinity with the CD1d protein, which should result in a bias towards a TH1 respons.
All for Cultural Heritage@KU Leuven and Cultural Heritage@KU Leuven for all KU Leuven
The KU Leuven Institute for Cultural Heritage wishes to facilitate and support coordinated actions in the domain of cultural heritage. The institute is founded on a unique composition of central services and research units who believe they can do more, when together. In line with international research agendas on cultural heritage, the institute wishes to stimulate research on data science and knowledge sharing, the role of cultural heritage ...
