Vanaf haar oprichting in 1966 zorgde het filmcollectief Fugitive Cinema voor een alternatief geluid in de Belgische filmwereld. Dat deed het Antwerpse collectief niet alleen door zelf films te maken, maar ook door films te distribueren die andere verdelers links lieten liggen.
