Laure Sorber

  • Research Expertise:Dr. Laure Sorber has extensive experience in molecular biomarkers and oncological research. In her PhD, she has focused on designing the optimal workflow for liquid biopsy, consisting of circulating cell-free (tumor) DNA (cfDNA / ctDNA) and RNA (cfRNA / ctRNA) analysis, for use in research and clinical settings. Her expertise in designing, (clinically) validating, performing and/or analyzing molecular analyses (digital droplet PCR, real-time quantitative / reverse transcriptase PCR, spectrophotometric and fluorometric analyses) has enabled her to act as instructor at Masterclasses. Furthermore, she has intensive experience in organizing (multicenter) studies and evaluating / optimizing sample workflows and quality. Currently, she is working on a joint project with Biocartis NV in which they are evaluating the detection of gene-fusions in a pan-cancer setting.
