  • Research Expertise:Oct. 2017 to Oct. 2021 Senior Synthetic Organic Chemist • Developed an efficient and mild Cu-catalyzed protocol for the decarboxylative silylation of alkyne-functionalized cyclic carbonate substrates affording 2,3-allenols featuring four different substituents. • Discovered a new dichotomic behavior of diboron(4) reagents in the Cu-mediated catalytic conversion of alkynyl cyclic carbonates. Feb. 2015 to June 2015 Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant • Involved in training undergraduate students by proctoring and teaching laboratory techniques to achieve course objectives. Sept. 2014 to Mar. 2017 Organic Chemist • Designed a simple and practical exo-oxime ether auxilixary for ortho-C–H functionalization of aromatic alcohols. • Developed direct olefination and arylation of aromatic alcohols masked by acetone oxime ether with a broad substrate scope.
