Kaat Leroy

    Kaat Leroy is a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences graduated in 2018 from Ghent University, Belgium. Currently, she is a PhD student at the entity of ‘In Vitro Toxicology and Dermato-Cosmetology’ at the Free University of Brussels. Her project specifically focusses on the role of connexin and pannexin (hemi)channels in liver cancer. This project aims to identify new biomarkers, drug targets and therapeutics for a better prognosis and treatment of liver cancer.
