I obtained my degree of master in medical biotechnology at the university of Gent. I started my career at Devgen, a biotech company located in Zwijnaarde acquired in 2012 by Syngenta, where I got acquainted with methods in molecular biology involving manipulation and analysis of RNA, DNA and protein. I continued my research carrier as research associate at the UZBrussel. I’m involved in a broad range of research projects covering anesthesiology, cardiology, cardiovascular diseases, inflammation, oncology and medical imaging. I’m a member of the board of the Belgian Working Group Basic Research in Cardiology.
