Understanding the interplay between polyspermy, abnormal cleavage and bovine embryo development : a multi-omics approach
Book - Dissertation
Assisted reproductive technologies (ART) are crucial in modern reproductive medicine, impacting fertility treatment, livestock breeding programs, and genetic diversity preservation. However, exposure to suboptimal conditions during in vitro embryo production (IVP) compromises the complex processes of embryogenesis, potentially affecting the quality of embryos. This thesis aims to enhance understanding of molecular and cellular processes governing polyspermic fertilization and its effects on early embryonic development using a multi-omics approach, using a bovine model.
