Staurothele rugulosa recorded for the first time in Belgium

Staurothele rugulosa (A. Massal.) Arnold was discovered on January 16, 2021 on a wall of the ruins of the Saint Bavo’s abbey in Ghent (province of East Flanders). Morphology, ecology, habitat and distribution of the species are described.
