Self-powered programmable microfluidic platform for LOC applications

In this work, we present an innovative self-powered microfluidic platform that can both push and pull liquids in a programmable way and we demonstrate sequential self-activation of different liquids in a two-step proof-of-a-concept. This microfluidic platform has the potential for implementing complex multistep bio-assays and hence perfectly fits the needs of disposable low cost point-of-care-tests (POCT).
