Pupils and their Parents

Book Contribution - Chapter

The Jesuits are the foundation of modern education. In their colleges they used a very well thought-out education system to educate the elite of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. But in addition, they also tried to bring the other young people to Faith by making books that could appeal to young people. To this end, they imitated popular genres to which they gave a religious content.
