Subtitle:indoor air air quality in schools: influence of the outdoor environment, ventilation and classroom equipment
This study aims to determine the influence of the outside environment, ventilation and class of device on the indoor air quality in schools. It will lead to the formulation of specific recommendations for environmental and other policy entities. In addition, attention will also be paid to remedying any problems identified, including sensitization. To this end, a measurement campaign was organized, in which the air quality was determined in 90 classrooms from 30 primary schools in Flanders. After preliminary study, a basic set of relevant components was compiled, which were measured in each of the selected classrooms and in the open air. The results were analyzed in terms of classroom ventilation, the influence of the outside air, the location of the school, the layout of the classrooms and the results of questionnaires.
