Cholecalciferol als bestrijdingsmiddel voor ratten: een literatuurstudie

Book - Report

Cholecalciferol or vitamin D3 disrupts the phosphorus and calcium balance, causing the released calcium to deposit in the bloodstream and in various organs such as lung and kidneys. This eventually leads to death after 4 to 7 days. It also works in resistant rats. Secondary intoxication remains an issue and cholecalciferol also does not score better than anticoagulants in terms of animal welfare. The product itself remains a candidate for substitution.
