Analysis of environmental noise and air pollution in function of spatial policy

Book - Report

Subtitle:final report
The study "Analysis of environmental noise and air pollution as a function of spatial policy" aims to better integrate environmental noise and air quality into the spatial policy, with the aim of improving the quality of the living environment. Despite repeated attempts in the past, it has never been possible at the Flemish level to integrate the sounds of air into spatial policy. Only in recent years - under pressure from Europe - tentative steps have been taken to give environmental noise and air quality a more prominent place in spatial planning.

The aim of this project is - starting from existing data on air and noise - to examine how these environmental factors can be integrated into spatial policy. The aim is not to develop new models, but to see what is available in terms of calculation methods, indicators, mapping, etc.

The following themes will be discussed:
- Healthiness at district level in the picture;
- Exemplary living environment;
- Combining spatial interventions.
