Project

Yellow for Geel: paved farm becomes productive land

Systemic initiative: an experimental softening laboratory with a concrete softening task and area-oriented or policy-based diagnosis as a starting point that is translated via test cases into an initiative for policy embedding or an action program with pilot projects. could offer great potential for softening and re-deployment for agriculture. The target i.r.t. the strategic vision of the BRV is to soften up to 20% of the softening potential that arises from vacant agricultural seats in the coming five years. It is started from a strong partnership. The project includes an interesting and innovative approach. It wants to arrive at a cartography of the softening potential and from the experimental testing grounds obstacles and needs - also from land-based agriculture and horticulture tests. A sectoral vision on softening within the agriculture sector is of strategic importance and fits in with a broader vision of the future about agriculture. An action program with a plan of action and 'tips and tricks' for three case areas with pilot cases in addition to policy recommendations by KU Leuven is implementing it. Guidance from sectoral interest groups guarantees a strong multiplier effect. The Boerenbond undertakes to set up a learning trajectory with awareness-raising and communication campaigns aimed at farmers, including a large number of participatory sessions.
