Wireless Network Protocol Fuzzing

Wireless Network Protocol Fuzzing is a security technique where protocol messages are being altered with the goal to identify potential security vulnerabilities. The goal of this phd research is the design and development of a semi-automated network fuzzing toolkit. The fuzzing tool will particularly assess the presence of common security vulnerabilities in wireless network protocol implementations of IoT devices. An important key feature of a network fuzzing tool is the 'intelligent' generation of test cases. An interesting research question is whether machine learning techniques can be applied here.
