Wellbeing in logistics. (R-12420)

The logistics sector is a fast evolving sector that is facing quite some challenges. Especially in warehouses, there is a strong focus on digitalisation and automation. Quite some tasks still need to be performed by humans. However, finding qualified staff and keeping them on board has become very difficult. In order to tackle this issue, we are conducting research on the wellbeing of employees in logistics companies. In the current academic literature, the focus is on the efficiency of processes in the supply chain, and on productivity increase. Human factors are mainly investigated from this point of view. It is our aim to focus on the psychological and social dimension of employee wellbeing. In this way we can contribute to the literature and give logistics companies guidelines to improve the wellbeing of their employees
