Vertical- cavity surface- emmiting lasers with liquid crystal overlay

VCSELs are lasers which emit light perpendicularly to the plane of the chip. Liquid crystals van be switched by an electric field or by light and influence the properties of a light beam that passes through it. in this project the combination of VCSELs with a layer of liquid crystal is investigated.
