Transformation of Empire: Historiography, Ritual Communication, and Religion in the Later Roman Empire
The project aims at achieving a deeper understanding of the fundamental transformation of late antique society by focusing on long-term changes in three areas: the way history was conceptualised fundamentally altered the relationship between ruler and ruled became increasingly ritualised and the christianisation is only part of a wider change in the way religion was conceived.
