Project

From thiazepane curcuminoid hit structures to new anticancer lead compounds

This project has the ambition to advance thiazepane-based curcuminoid hit molecules, discovered in previous research, towards new anticancer lead compounds. To that end, a thorough medicinal chemistry hit expansion and SAR evaluation study will be performed, approached from an unprecedented food science perspective, as well as elaborate biological investigations of these previously developed hits in an oncology context.
