Sustainable control of Nezara viridula in bell pepper, cucumber and eggplant (NeViCON) (NeVICON)

The general aim of the project is to develop a sufficiently sustainable, integrated control strategy for the stink bug Nezara viridula, based on 4 pillars: prevention, monitoring, biological control and, when really necessary, chemical control. On the one hand, the aim is to exploit available knowledge from abroad regarding integrated control of N. viridula in open fields and to translate / implement it into the development of new local, practical control strategies for N. viridula in protected crops. On the other hand, the consortium also aspires to develop and validate new innovative control measures through practice-oriented research.
