Support Center for Administrative Renewal 2021-2025 (R-11642)

SBV is a consortium of researchers at Flemish academic institutions. The mission of the support center is to conduct scientific research in a flexible and interactive way to support policy preparation, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with the expectations of the client and the annual policy priorities, within the framework of the proposed multi-year plan. SBV aims to systematically substantiate the policy and management cycle on the basis of structural funding. The main assignment is to carry out research assignments aimed at policy-relevant problems. More specifically SBV conducts research into a well-founded HR policy and into local autonomy and local responsibility. In order to carry out this assignment, SBV brings together a critical mass of multidisciplinary expertise in the field of public administration, as well as in related disciplines and research fields such as political science, finance, regulation, behavioral science, and personnel policy. The Center pays the necessary attention to transversal themes such as sustainable development, equal opportunities, local governments and digitization.
