Substitution of fossil-resource based fertilizers by mineral nutrients recovered from biobased side streams

This research focuses on the recovery of mineral nutrients from organic-biological waste(water) streams and their upcycling into renewable substitutes for synthetic fertilisers, which itself is produced from fossil resources. This proposal will secure funding for 2 incoming Joint PhD, as well as specialized analytical infrastructure for 5 PhD and lab-technical & postdoctoral support for this group of PhD students.
