Project

STEAM, an Engine for UNA Europa Outlining and anchoring relevant STEAM-practices for Una Europa and its cultural and creative ecosystems (STEAM.E.UNA.E)

The aim of the project is to outline a university wide STEAM approach by developing a blueprint or guidebook on how to conceive STEAM practices, both in terms of education and third mission activities. Furthermore, the project aims to develop a set of STEAM indicators, situated at the level of HEIs and the eco-systems in which they are embedded. Applying this framework and validating the envisaged indicators with Una Europa partners will result in a clear picture of where Una Europa partners stand in terms of adopting a valuable and enduring STEAM approach, and how they can evolve in terms of adopting (and assessing) relevant STEAM practices.
The project will allow Una Europa universities and their regional ecosystems to deepen their educational and third-mission activities through the development of a shared STEAM-blueprint and a relevant set of STEAM indicators. While contributing to the alliance itself, the project will also contribute to create the necessary critical mass of capabilities and practices relevant for the KIC on CCSI and other Una Europa initiatives with respect to the implementation of STEAM.
