Sabbatical Christian Maes: Theoretical Physics of Life

Its main objectives are to develop fundamental questions and applications of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics to the physics of Life, and to write a
accessible introduction to that non-equilibrium physics. Biological functions can be connected to non-equilibrium physics on several levels. By visiting international centers
and the exchanges it will be able to put the right accents in the research during the sabbatical period.
