The role of social and solidarity economy and social finance in sustainable development and the future of work

Through a review of the state of the art literature and eight case studies illuminating innovative and good practices, the study aims to investigate innovative ways of financing social and solidarity economy ventures. The study also aims to demonstrate the impact potential of these social and solidarity economy ventures in the domains of employment, social protection, inclusiveness, and sustainable development. Case studies will be selected (in the North as well as in the South) based on their ability to respond to current socio-economic trends. The results of the study will be inserted and made available in and during the events of ILO's Future of Work programme (2018)
