Research on earth surface heat changes caused by land degradation in the Mediterranean by means of thermal satellite imagery

Many studies handled the fenomenon land degradation. The consequences of land degradation on the earth surface heat changes are not sufficiently understood. The heat fluxes will be studied by means of thermal satellite imagery. The time period that will be studied reaches from the first thermal images till now. The study area is the Mediterranean. This is an area of various landscape changes in the last decades.
