Reliable operation of small disconnectable electric power networks

The project concerns the development of (small) reliable electric power networks with local power production, which may be disconnected from the distribution grid. On the one hand, the project aims at the design and the digital control of power electronic converters for coupling the production units to the grid. On the other hand, the project aims at a rethinking of the concept of the grid itself with regard to the short-circuit power, protection, earthing, power quality etc.
