The relevance of Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia duodenalis in surface water as a source for waterborne transmisson in Belgium and in Bangladesh.

This longitudinal study in Belgium and Bangladesh aims to estimate the prevalence of both parasites in surface water that is used for the production of drinking water, with emphasis on the zoonotic relevance using molecular characterisation by PCR, on establishing the source of infection on the dynamics of the curface water contamination using GIS.
