Relation between inflammation of the gut and arthritis in spondyloarthropathy: cellular mechanisms and therapeutical implications

This project aims at the study of the relation between inflammatory bowel disease and peripheral arthritis in spondyloartropathy. This will be done by exploring the interaction of enteropathogens and the host in this diseases. The role of NKT cells on the induction of chronic inflammation will be investigated. Finally, the impact of connective tissue cells initiation and repair of tissue damage will bel looked at.
