Reduction of the scan and reconstruction time for tomography based on GPU computing.

This project focuses on reducing the scan and reconstruction time for various forms of Computer Tomography. Iterative reconstruction algorithms require fewer projections (= shorter scan time) to obtain an accurate reconstruction. However, the computation time of such methods is currently too long for practical use. By developing algorithms for the GPU (GPU computing), the reconstruction time will be strongly reduced.
