Reconfigurable Metamaterial Inspired Antennas for Spatial Diversity

Composite right/left handed (CRLH) metamaterial inspired reconfigurable antennas show benefits in space diversity applications. The proposed antennas will have a dual band and both bands need to be reconfigurable in radiation pattern. A 2D beam-steering leaky wave antenna based on the 2D CRLH will also be designed with the capability of achieving backfire to endfire scanning continuously in two orthogonal planes.
