RACE-TP. Lightweight Recyclable Automotive thermoplastic CompositE structural parts for large se-ries production (RACE-TP)

RACE-TP. The objective of this project is accelerating the development of acrylic based thermoplastic composite materials, a possible substitute to metal based solutions, and aims at developing this solution to meet the technical and economic needs of the mass market automotive industry. The project will define and develop a real automotive structural part, design an injection machine to allow the continuous operation of the part production process, and improve the tooling metal surface treatment technology.
