Precision synthesis and chiral expression of helical conjugated polymers

The domain of conjugated polymers has already been thoroughly researched. However, up until now the research has mostly been focused on linear polymer structures. This project aims to expand the domain of the conjugated polymers to include different macromolecular structures such as cyclic polymers and helical polymers. These types of materials will show different properties in terms of aggregation compared to the currently existing materials. More knowledge about these aggregational properties can lead to new insights and improvements in the current applications of conjugated polymers and might open up new applications.
