Political representation of ethnic minorities. A national and international comparative analysis of representation of ethnic minorities at the local level in England, France and Belgium.

To which degree do citizenship regime, electoral system, party features and interest constellations foster or hinder 1) the election of candidates belonging to ethnic minorities, and 2) group representation (representation of ethnic minorities' interests by elected belonging to these societal groups)? This research is based in in-depth interviews with electoral candidates, elected and selectors in three countries featuring variety regarding citizenship regime and electoral system: England, France and Belgium.
