Project

Political gender stereotypes in a system of Proportional Representation

This project analyzes whether political gender stereotypes are present in a PR system (compared to majority electoral systems, which have already been extensively studied), whether list position is an intervening factor and what kind of voters are more prone for stereotypes. A quasi-experimental design will be set up. Respondents will be asked to assess audio messages of hypothetical candidates.
