Project
Nutritional and microbial studies in larval aquaculture
Host-microbial interactions are the aim of the project. Standardised gnotobiotic culture methods were designed for aquaculture model organisms. The effect of feed and feed components on the host-microbial interactions and the non-specific immune system are investigated. This is facilitated through the availability of the annotated Artemia genome. In a second phase, the knowledge will be applied to other aquaculture organisms.
