Musculoskeletal load assessment in human movement interventions: turning state-of-the-art research tools into a unique business-solution.

At the Movement and posture Laboratory Leuven, we have established a world-leading position in the assessment of in-vivo structure-specific musculoskeletal loading using a modular hybrid experimental and modeling approach. These assessments are of interest to clinical and industrial partners to understand how humans respond to new products or therapeutic interventions in terms of load modulation on musculoskeletal structures. Within this project, we prepare a unique B2B service provision for developers of function-enhancing devices (such as braces) to verify the effectiveness of their product. In order to take the next step towards valorization, we will address two needs: (1) provide more ecological observations of musculoskeletal loading by transitioning some of our advanced lab-based protocols towards an ecological context; (2) streamline dataflows such that real-time feedback
