Multiomic Integration of cell-free DNA profiles to Advance Disease Outcome (MICADO)

Our vision is that cfDNA analysis will become a generic biomarker for diagnosing, screening and stratifying patients. The project has three scientific objectives:1) to extend the fundamental knowledge about cfDNA by mapping the biological variation at both genome and epigenome level in healthy and sick people,2) to develop new technologies using simultaneous (epi) genome-wide analyses. for cfDNA, 3) demonstrate the value of the multiomic liquid biopsy methodologies through proof-of-concept studies in three domains: oncology, prenatal care and transplantation.
