Molecular Simulations of Membrane Proteins Related to Human Diseases

My research will concentrate on membrane proteins which account for about 25 percent of open reading frames in most genomes. Membrane proteins often serve as important drug targets. It has been estimated that about 60 percent drug target for human diseases are membrane proteins. In particular, protein-lipid and protein-protein as well as protein-ligand interactions in membrane environment will be studied to investigate some mechanisms in biosystems.
