Metagenomic approach for tailoring gelatine production towards industrial needs

The project's overall objective is to improve the gelatin manufacturing process to obtain a final product with reduced microbial load and associated degradation. This will enable Rousselot to gain additional market share in the competitive market of pharmaceutical capsules on the one hand and on the other to attract new customers who put gelatin-based products on the market as being there, surgical devices, medical instruments / implants and wound care products.
