Project

Metabolic engineering for the creation of a platform organism with an increased nucleotide sugar pool

The goal of this research is to create a platform organism with an increased intracellular pool of UDP-sugars. The developed technology is based on the principles of metabolic engineering of the model organism Escherichia coli. The created mutants will function as glycosylation platforms for the production of various oligosaccharides and glycoconjugates.
