Membranes and functional surfaces
The IOF fellow will focus on membranes and functional surfaces, two areas linked by the need for expertise in thin film deposition. Three research groups form the scientific foundations for this application. They focus on membrane development (Ivo Vankelecom, COK, Partner 1), porous coatings for sensors and diagnostics (Rob Ameloot, COK, Partner 2) and biomedical implants and devices (Bob Puers, ESAT, Partner 3).
