Laboratory immersions voor non regular students

In Flanders (Belgium), the number of non-traditional students in higher education is lower than in the rest of Europe. The government stimulates a flexible learning environment in order to increase the number of students in higher education. We organised a survey to find out the needs and the stumbling blocks of the non-traditional students with respect to laboratories in the field of science and engineering. We learned that 44% of the non-traditional students have problems in attending the laboratories. We are in need of a valuable, flexibel alternative for laboratory work.
