IOF mandate Biomedical Research Institute 2019-2023 (R-9957)

The Biomedical Research Institute (BIOMED) of Hasselt University is a multidisciplinary research institute that uses high-end technology to deliver novel insights in three main disease areas: immunology, neuroscience and cardiometabolic science. To do so, three core technology platforms are set in place: bioimaging, biomodels and biobanking. BIOMED aims to translate new scientific discoveries into applications that increase the health span of every individual in line with the civic ambition of Hasselt University. With this IOF mandate project, 2 business developers make the bridge between BIOMED expertise and know-how (including but not limited to patents) on the one hand and investors, the life sciences industry and the society as a whole on the other hand.
