Investigation of tungsten exposed to fusion relevant intense H/He particle fluxes and thermal loads

Tungsten is used in fusion reactors to shield the rest of the device from the hot plasma. Therefore, tungsten is simultaneously exposed to a combination of neutron, particle and heat radiation. Two exposure conditions, H/He flux and thermal loads, are experimentally studied. This project will identify the alteration in damage behavior from both exposure-types in the presence of the other.
