Information Dynamics of Cardiovascular and Brain Physiological Networks

The neural and cariovascular system are characterized by complex and coordinated activity, which can be characterized in terms of information flow. Using algorithms and techniques rooted in statistical physics and information theory we will study the interactions between these two systems, to enhance our knowledge of the mechanism underlying brain-heart communication in normal and diseased conditions.
